American Sign Language: "Thank you" or "thanks"
The sign for "thank you" is made by starting with the fingers of your dominant hand near your lips. You don't have to actually touch your lips but you can.
Your hand should be a "flat hand." Move your hand forward and in the direction of the person you are thanking.

Smile a bit.

(That way they'll know you mean it.)
Memory aid: Imagine blowing a kiss to the person you are thanking.
(Don't pucker up though, they may think you are conveying a bit more than gratitude.
But what the hey, I've had more than one marriage come about as a result of these lessons.)
Note: The sign "THANKS or THANK-YOU" is very similar to the sign for "good."
